We had so much fun hosting a children’s fishing contest Saturday, June 22nd, part of the 2019 Manitou Days! We cosponsored this event with Tally’s Dockside as well as White Bear Bait & Convenience Store.
Since this was a rain or shine event, we were crossing our fingers for good weather- and lucked out!
People showed up as early as 7:15 for check-in and rules. The official contest was from 8-10am. The child that caught the largest fish won bragging rights and a prize!
We had a whopping 64 participants in the contest. This was our first time hosting something like this and were thrilled with how much fun it was to have everyone come out.

Our winner…. Mason Amberg! He caught the 17″ Northern Pike that won him the trophy and prize!
